Speedy Marketing Tips For Those Who Have No Time

When you first start out as a practitioner, you have time to spare and play with marketing. But as things start to pick up, the time aspect tightens. So how can you keep marketing yourself and keep clients flowing in the door?

I’ve got 6 tips to help you stay consistent with your marketing, even if you have 30 min or less each week to spare.

6 Tips For Marketing When You Have No Time To Spare

Really narrow down on your niche

There is nothing more time consuming than trying to market to absolutely everyone in the world. It is a lot easier to market to someone who is very specific, with specific health concerns, symptoms and goals.

Pick one group of people and talk about them and their issues. You might even find it easy to speak to someone who is already your dream client - what would you say to them? What would you share?

You'll find it's a lot easier to create content because you know exactly who you're talking to and why.

Make content once and recycle

Just like meal prepping, content is easier if you cook once and eat many times! Find a piece of content you find easy to create, and then repurpose that as much as possible.

This might be:

  • Creating a blog and turning that into social media posts

  • Creating a video, getting it transcribed and then putting it into a blog and putting it into social media posts

  • Recycling blogs that you wrote when you were a new practitioner

Whatever it is that you choose - get all of the juicy goodness out of it that you possibly can.

Remember, most people will only see occasional posts from you. They won't see every single post from you, so don’t stress that they are going to unfollow you for repurposing content!

If you post a piece of content on a different day at a different time, the content is going to reach different people compared to the last time that you shared it.

Use something pre-created

To make marketing easier, you want to avoid starting off with a completely blank slate. That’s where something pre-created can make a big difference.

This might be social media templates with your branding and logo (I love Shonelle’s options for this!), a website template, or blog templates. In fact, I have some of those coming out very soon - if you want to be kept in the loop, send me a message here and let me know your niche.

Use tech to your advantage

Apps and tech are your besties when it comes to speeding up your marketing!

One that I love is Otter. This is a transcription service where you can record your notes and convert them to written notes for your blogs, video scripts and socials.

It’s not perfect - there are limits on the free option, and it’s not 100% accurate on the voice to text aspect. But it is a good starting point, especially if you are doing something like driving and an idea pops up - you can just have it transcribed. Then when you sit down at your computer, at least you've got something to work with.

In fact, I used this very method to write this blog! I recorded about 3.5 minutes of talking using Otter, my VA did a quick edit, and then my final once-over including SEO and adding an image took less than 15 minutes.

Outsource to a VA

Let’s be honest - a trained VA is much better at using their time to market your business than you are. So if you are at least seeing consistent clients in your clinic, it’s worth investigating a VA as an option.

Depending on their skillset, a VA can help you by creating your content, transcribing, scheduling social media posts, repurposing the content you’ve created - or all of the above!

Even if you hire an Australian VA (which I have done), you can still find someone who is between $25-35 per hour.

Let’s do the math on that:

If they free up even 3 hours of your time per week, and you earn $125 per hour as a practitioner, that could mean you can earn an extra $300 per week even after paying them!

Plus your marketing is more consistent, which means you’re less likely to see those quiet weeks = more consistent income.

If you’re on the lookout for an Aussie VA who understands the health world and can help you with your marketing, stay tuned. I will be training student practitioners in my line of work to help increase the amount of skilled health VAs on the market!

Keep it simple

Finally, let’s just keep it simple. Stick to one social media channel and one form of ‘juicy content’ (blog, video, podcast).

Don’t try to be everywhere all at once if you’re doing your own marketing. Show up consistently in the one place your ideal client is most likely hanging out.

You don't have to show up online every single day. If you can only put out three posts a week, that is better than putting out no posts per week! Do whatever you can with the time that you do have.
