How To: Write Clickable Content For Your Readers

We all have amazing ideas to share with people. But in this day and age, if you don’t optimise it for your reader, they might just scroll on past. The best content for reach is clickable content – but this doesn’t mean it has to be sleazy or click-bait!
Let’s have a look at a few ways you can create helpful content that makes people want to read on.
Clickable Content Topic
Firstly, you need to figure out a topic for your content. This can be super easy for some, and seemingly impossible for others!
There are two things you need to know to find great content topics: who your target audience is, and what they want to learn about.
For example, most 20 something-year-olds don’t really care about the conditions they might get when they’re 80. But if you talk to them about the nutrients that will keep their skin clear and healthy, they’ll be hanging off your every word.
If you don’t know what your target audience wants to know – find someone in that audience and pick their brain!
Clickable Content Heading
Now that you’ve got your topic, it’s time to craft a heading that captures the mind. You want it to give an overview of the topic, but also contain the keyword or phrase for your post to make it SEO friendly.
The ways I like to use headings include:
Asking the questions people want answered
Using ‘how to’ (just like this one!)
Using numbers, such as ‘5 things to know about herbal teas’
These headings often perform quite well, because they are designed to catch the attention of the reader.
Feel free to try out different twists on your headings – sometimes I’ll write 2 or 3 different headings, and choose the one I’d click on first!
Clickable Content Layout
It’s all well and good to have a good topic, heading and content – but if it’s impossible to read, you’ll lose people straight away. You want your clickable content to be easy to digest, because more people will stick around to learn from it.

Clickable Content Images
The average human brain loves a good visual cue. And there’s nothing more visual than a picture that captures attention and conveys the topic well.
When it comes to stock images, I’m a big fan of Briena at Wellness Stock Shop. She creates stunning images for the health community, and is constantly expanding the diversity and variety of images.
